Soil cement is defined as a material treated with a homogeneous mix of the right proportions of granular material, cement, water and occasionally additives, performed in the plant. When suitably compacted, cement soil is used as a structural course for road surfaces.
Depending on the granular material used, there are two types of materials treated with cement –soil-cement and gravel-cement. In both cases it is recommended and/or mandatory to compact this mix with a 5,000 kg load per wheel tire roller.
