For proper compaction, it is essential to ensure good traction without loss of tire traction on slippery surfaces. This is not possible with a conventional differential or differential lock, as they drag the material. To solve this problem, CORINSA installs an automatically locking NoSpin bevel gear unit.
This system, called “intelligent,” requires no operator intervention; it operates automatically.
It performs two important functions:
- It prevents one or more wheels from slipping when the output shaft loses traction—that is, when the wheel or wheels spin.
- It compensates for differences in wheel travel when cornering or traveling over uneven terrain.
It is important to note that this technology can only be installed with automatic gearboxes with a torque converter, never with hydrostatic transmissions.
