Following the tradition of the 7-wheel CORINSA compactors, the replacement for the HERCULES C3, launched in 2008 and the CCR 14.21B in 2001, is much more technologically advanced and cutting-edge, maintaining its main advantages and features unchanged.
The HERCULES C4 features a completely new tilting panoramic ROPS cab with dual access, full climate control, a Bluetooth MP3 radio, and a range of other comfort features that provide the operator with the best possible workplace, such as a rearview camera to facilitate maneuvers and increase safety, eight high-power work lights, sun visors, a glove compartment, a 12/24 V power outlet, and more.
The control station is also new; it maintains horizontal movement and 180° rotation, but its new design makes it more comfortable and highly ergonomic. The station features a built-in 7″ digital display that centralizes control of the machine and its performance, keeping all information such as temperatures, pressures, levels, alarms, and a host of other variables under control.
The HERCULES C4 uses a 136 hp (100 kW) DEUTZ engine that complies with EU Stage V (TIER 4F) regulations and ECO mode, as well as a Clark 3-speed automatic transmission with torque converter. It also features the automatic NoSpin self-locking rear differential, which facilitates traction when starting from a standstill and modifies torque between the inside and outside wheels on curves and roundabouts to prevent material drag and provide the best finish in the most difficult conditions.
The suspension remains independent of all 7 wheels, and thanks to this exclusive CORINSA system, it guarantees the same load per wheel and the same compaction on all 7 wheels.
Other important new features include asphalt temperature control, LED daytime running lights to increase safety on the construction site, LED work lights, an LED beacon, a Grammer pneumatic seat, and more.
The metal ballast system balances the machine’s weight and distributes it 50/50 between the front and rear axles. Both systems can take the machine to a factory-guaranteed wheel load of up to 3,500 kg:

- 14 t and 2,000 kg load per wheel
- 17.5 t and 2,500 kg load per wheel
